Understanding the Canna Cup: Rules and People's Choice Boxes Explained
To vote in the People’s Choice, you must be 21+ or a medical card holder and purchase a People’s Choice Box from a participating dispensary. Each box includes multiple cannabis products to sample and score based on quality, effects, aroma, and appearance. Voting is done online via QR code and must be completed by August 1, 2025. Only one vote per item in the box is allowed, and any form of vote manipulation will result in disqualification. Top entries will advance to the final judging round, with winners announced at the North Canna Cup & Music Festival.

Voting Rules
By participating, voters agree to abide by all rules and acknowledge that violation may result in disqualification.
• Must be 21 years of age or older or a Medical Marijuana Card holder with valid government-issued ID
• Must purchase a North Canna Cup People’s Choice Box from a participating dispensary
• People's Choice Boxes must be purchased at participating dispensaries
• Each box contains products from multiple entries within a specific category
• Voting information will be included with each Judge's Box purchase
• Votes can be submitted online via form that is accessed via QR code
• Evaluate products based on provided criteria (aroma, appearance, effects, overall quality)
• Products must be consumed/used before voting
• Score each product in the box
• Incomplete or illegible ballots will be disqualified
• No duplicate submissions accepted
• Voting opens: June 15th or when Boxes go on sale
• Final voting deadline: August 1st 2025 at 11:59 PM CST
• Late submissions will not be accepted
• Judge products on their own merit, not brand recognition
• Consider: Quality, potency, flavor profile, appearance, and overall experience
• Products should be stored and consumed according to package instructions
• Allow adequate time between product testing for accurate evaluation
• Coordinated voting efforts or vote manipulation is forbidden
• Staff, organizers, and immediate family members of participating brands are ineligible to vote
• You may only score products once per purchase.
• The top 3 ranking entries from the People’s Choice scores will move on to the Blind Judges’ Box
• People's Choice winners will be announced at the North Canna Cup & Music Festival
• Vote tallies may be shared with entrants after the competition has concluded
• Results are final and not subject to appeal
